1. Perot was sort of a hick, and a pompous one at that. Despite being from Texas, Ron Paul isn't really a hick, or pompous, that I can tell.

2. Perot was a billionaire busineessman. Before politics, Paul was a OB/GYN. Other than maybe Mike Huckabee, Paul is probably the least wealthy of all the "major" candidates. Perot would probably be the wealthiest if he were in this election.

3. Perot's positions weren't nearly as "outside the box" as Paul's. For instance, Perot probably wouldn't have supported legalizing marijuana (along with a host of other substances) at the federal level and ending the "war on drugs". Paul does.

the tricky thing for him...txt

I agree. He needs to stress that these are State issues a little more often.

No question, though that's a hard pill for people to swallow.

Death_Claw 1067 November 07, 2007 09:57AM

I'll agree

Lokain 1046 November 07, 2007 11:27AM

I wouldn't assume rationality from the American populace.

Death_Claw 999 November 07, 2007 12:18PM

That's kind of what I'm saying

Lokain 984 November 07, 2007 01:41PM

Certain issues should not be made by states

hopelessdwarf 1008 November 08, 2007 12:31PM

It's the lesser of two evils.

Death_Claw 999 November 09, 2007 07:02AM

I dunno
