More spread out, more chasing games, hit and run style. I think you're on the right track. Make the different constructs have different "features" (IE, more damage but the construct can't be healed, one melee intense versus casting intense, etc) to make a strategic choice of where you'd want to hit given your make-up and I'm sold.
