I've played Good villagers, even Elf Drillmaster. I never received any warnings for doing things that were contrary to my RP and I was never kicked or lost any cabal powers for doing goodie things. It wasn't difficult what so ever. Remembering that you're a good character and they have general concepts inherent to them before any views they may have picked up throughout their life, like hating magic, is the key.
To anyone who wants to rock a goodie villager, go for it, but don't forget that unless you want to be neutral, don't act like a neutral.
