This game requires to much than people are willing to give nowadays. You need to be a special type of nerd to enjoy this game and I think that type of nerd is a rare specimen these days. The problem isn't in the game. The problem is that the characteristics that are required to enjoy this experience are not cultivated as much in today's society. It's more about graphics and accessibility with the newer gamers. If you want to understand this better just play the 'good' RPG's that have come out in recent years and see how immersive they are compared to CF. I don't think any game even comes close to the level that CF does, but most people that have the time to play games don't give a shit about the things that CF does well.

I say keep CF the same as it is and let it die as a great game. Don't change it and water it down because then is just becomes like the rest of the trash out there.
