Some tips

February 02, 2015 01:23PM
Use chill touch on most people. I only used numbing on clouds/felar/frost. Numbing is also good when walking around if you're desperate for mvs - it doesn't do NEARLY as much mv bump as Vamp does hp bump, but its helpful.

Honestly, I'd consider playing an arial. The amount of times i died, even as a pretty prepared/competent player, to a trip at the wrong time were just frustrating, even if low.

What i'd do first with assassins (assuming you're not getting lagged out, and have atleast shield up), is consider their race. For drow/halfies, go crimson/poison first. For humans, consider doing weaken or curse first. If you have an army atall (even merc + golem), consider just trying to damage them.

Happy to give more thoughts if you want (here or msg me directly)

Couple of things.

wrathpuppet February 03, 2015 07:50AM

assassins are pretty easy with an army

Quas February 03, 2015 07:58AM

I never played shamans or necromancers, but arials look like a good choice for these 2 classes.

shaapa February 02, 2015 05:29PM

arial city may have changed it but arial necro is rough

Quas February 03, 2015 07:55AM

Personally I'd rather have a lower xp penalty on a necro for the better range. Trip can be managed if you're careful. I agree on shamans though, arials are a viable choice. (n/t)

Rhyaldrin February 02, 2015 05:39PM

that made more sense back before exp revamp, imo nt

The Forsaken February 02, 2015 07:31PM

I haven't noticed too much of a difference. 250 xp penalty will still have people 9 ranks above your rank in range. (n/t)

Rhyaldrin February 02, 2015 07:34PM

human necro (0 pen) fighting what used to be felar/arial assassin (550 pen) is very different than now (250 and 300). 2 to 4 titles matter.

The Forsaken February 03, 2015 04:54AM

0 exp penalty will still have people 6 ranks above you. (n/t)

shaapa February 02, 2015 11:36PM

Which as I said, is a better range. (n/t)

Question for Paek. Do you know about the mercenaries that are great for lowbie fights?

Assassin can't hide until they calm down. Only thieves can hide immediately after combat. (n/t)

Matrik February 02, 2015 09:46AM

So flee / sleep is likely the best option?

paek February 02, 2015 09:50AM

Sorry, I'm not the one to ask about what the better option is. Just wanted to let you know the hide mechanic. (n/t)

Matrik February 02, 2015 10:15AM

Yes that would be a good tactic, and yes there's a spell check on faerie fog.

Frosty February 02, 2015 10:03AM

assassins can cure blindness with bind wounds. nt

The Forsaken February 02, 2015 10:41AM

Yes, thank you for reminding me. Can you refresh me on weather or not it has a chance to fail at curing blindness? (n/t)

Frosty February 02, 2015 10:42AM

It can fail
