I have to disagree and say rescue, feint and shield block are all important, shield block being less so only if you are speccing in a tanking weapon.

Feint helps a lot in ranking and tanking.

Rescue is situationally useful both in PK as well as PVE but still worth the points IMO. Saved plenty of people in the mausoleum with rescue and mages in PK with it.

Giant Warriors - Practice

If you are going fortress, think about rescue. The edge, "Relentless Assault' is good if you fight a lot of people who fallback, or have their servitors rescue them. (n/t)

funnyone February 24, 2015 02:07AM

I'd skip all three (n/t)

Elystan February 23, 2015 09:41AM

I find rescue to be a pretty clutch skill too, especially with the way mobs initiate non-assisting groupmates. You can probably skip feint as a giant warrior though. (n/t)

Rescue is immensely useful

daurwyn(VIP) February 23, 2015 11:41PM

Shield block is important, especially if you're learning the class. n/t

jalim February 23, 2015 09:43AM

Shield brute and shield avoidance are pretty good too

alex February 23, 2015 11:03AM

Wow, never knew about those edges (n/t)

Elystan February 23, 2015 11:07AM

I would trim this down to "Shield block is important"

Nurok February 23, 2015 10:45AM

Now if only a spec or two would incorporate it like they incorporate dual wield. (n/t)

Matrik February 23, 2015 10:48AM

Hehe...if warriors could grab shield spec pally moves...I'd be all over dagger/shield :P (n/t)

Nurok February 23, 2015 10:51AM

I've always thought warriors should have a shield spec. Loved the Roman Centurion / Spartan warrior with his shortsword/shield and spear/shield imagery. (n/t)

Returner February 23, 2015 05:05PM

Yeah. And the bastard sword + buckler fencing style. (n/t)

Murphy February 23, 2015 05:10PM

Forget that.

MiyagiYojimbo February 23, 2015 06:31PM

Sword/shield for me, but I don't think it should work like that

Matrik February 23, 2015 11:12AM

Halflings should get 100% 'shield throw' (n/t)

pendragon_surtr February 23, 2015 05:03PM

Giants, minotaurs, and orcs should get 100% 'halfling throw' (n/t)

Frosty February 23, 2015 05:54PM

Perfected Flourintine should be less tanky than sword/perfected shield block

HairyOrangutan February 23, 2015 11:46AM

I think it is

Quas February 24, 2015 04:05AM

I disagree

daurwyn(VIP) February 24, 2015 07:15AM

Here's the problem

Falstaff February 24, 2015 01:36PM

Agreed. (n/t)

Returner February 23, 2015 05:06PM

I dig it. (n/t)

Matrik February 23, 2015 11:51AM

Nopers, I utter, noperineroes!

The Faithful of Nazmorghul(VIP) February 23, 2015 11:44AM

By that same logic legacies should not be defensive in nature - Warriors are "WAR" masters.

Nurok February 24, 2015 02:53AM

Warriors should have boat specs, they are rio masters. (n/t)

MiyagiYojimbo February 24, 2015 03:02AM

The class is called "Warrior," not "Weaponmaster."

Matrik February 23, 2015 11:49AM

From the inscribed sword (Academy Guild):

Shields are a staple of soldier's equipment. You will not convince me otherwise. (n/t)

Murphy February 24, 2015 08:56PM

Use gain/revert

zannon February 23, 2015 08:53AM

Re: Use gain/revert

paek February 23, 2015 01:19PM

This. (n/t)
