The biggest reason for me is not on your list: the fact that I feel guilty about wasting time on CF. You know how it is, going to hit 40 soon, there's always something more urgent on the list... and even if I ever got to 200-300 hours on a character, I'd feel crappy knowing that I could've spent that to improve on some real-life skill or achieve one of the myriad of my goals.
Even my damned hobbies have to be utilitarian (e.g. powerlifting).
This is pretty much the same reason why I don't build a gaming rig, year in and year out (sorry Jhyrb). Just can't ever see myself sinking hundred+ hours into a game any more. This is why something like a quick game of Hearthstone or CS:GO is where it's at. I can burn 30-45 min without feeling guilty.
And isn't it funny that people mostly gripe about not being able to jump for a quick session of CF any longer? Flip side of the same coin...
Sucks man. The only way to have that carefree CF experience is to convince yourself that time doesn't matter. So once again, this is why people joke about mudding in retirement. That, or we pin our hopes on life-extension therapies. If I could get a few centuries in, two or three decades spent on CF wouldn't be so bad ;)
