About the Acolyte "Favor of the Sun" power.

Its helpfile mentions a "basic damage reduction", along with some other passive defensive bonuses against mental and poison/disease. Is this dam redux protection against evil (i.e. the Squire version of the Maran's mantle of the phoenix), or something different from protection against evil?
