-Free claw hits that go through defenses come from those felar_only claw gauntlets. Also packsense goes around defenses.
**I never knew they cut through defenses, always just thought it upped damage and/or had a chance to cause bleeding. Thanks man.
-It's not an expensive edge though - they also have some very nice other felar edges (including the anti-spell one)
**Yes, it's a cheap edge. Unfortunately until something happens to where we get some edge points back, every edge is expensive.
-Their free warcry is a nice set of free saves/damage.
**It's a very slight buff.
-Catnip
**Hell yes! :)
-Drown vuln is pretty damn hard to exploit and you usually have the a/b/s/hp to get around it. I meant the fire.
**Years ago yes it would be hard to exploit. There a LOT more water damage weapons now, and some higher average. You can't say abs + hp gets around it :) not in this discussion.
-You'd be surprised how nice 23 dex is for evasion on a non-dodge class.... dark-elves are only 24 and it fires a lot.
**No I wouldn't, I've seen how often it fires. It's meh.
-Arials can't wear anazu, giants have conflicting headgear/mask options
**ALL races have conflicting headgear/mask options. :) You silly goose.
-Abomination takes 17 strength, and you can dual wield your claws with it. I'd probably prefer a spear for most of the game, but if we're talking god levels of 200+ charges then abomination would be insane.
**Fire giants can wield it AND a different weapon for a plethora of non-physical damage types. Next.
-A big downside of a fire giant is the lack of dex to hold things... you have very limited inventory slots for all your wands and escape options. Given felars won't dual wield or weapon swap, you've got a bigger max item number to work with.
**Very true. This is one of the really nice upsides to having a high dex.
