I think felar get some bonus to damage in form, not sure though. Felar has high con for HP also, but I couldn't live with the low int.

I like the utility forms. All are pretty good PvE. For PvP, it really depends on the form.

Air/Utility can be really fun, but like always it depends on the forms. I've gone through several shifters before waiting to hit the forms I generally wanted. I like one that sees hidden at night, one that regenerates, one for water. Would like one that steals or that can hide. So, lots of ranking...delete until I get something I like.

Also, best thing about shapeshifters is forms are impervious to things like thieves, grappleweapon, melkartha, etc. (n/t)
