After that try a throw, see if they forgot protective shield. If they did go to mountainstormkick but don't just spam it. Let them sneak a prayer in, wait a round (or two) and then kick. Maximize lag as much as possible. In most instances you will out damage them badly after kote/kans.

If they get lucky and land a bunch of nasty shit in between don't feel bad about bailing. They can't lag you so they should never kill you unless you over extend yourself.

Also there's no shortage of divine power weapons that all aligns can get. Make sure you have at least one for this fight.
