assassins, thieves, bards and warriors with the occasional druid thrown in to spank me.

Admittedly, my attempt at an assassin (Bapkruk) was pitiful, but critical strike did not help me much and spell evasion wasn't very meaningful against bard songs, communes, and shapeshifters.

I will concede that your current enemies and your own character build might make scout work--I liked it against the few invoker and defense shifters I fought. It just didn't work for me.
