I don't think it is -just- stsf that is making everything so out of whack. When you throw on the -dex that daggers can dish out in relative ease on top of stsf - well, that's just harsh. It used to be that dex didn't matter all that much, so hamstring was really only good for -mv and preventing someone from manipulating inventory or getting items (disarmed). Dex is a bit tougher to gear for than str, but since a dagger spec can easily throw out a lot of -str too, that just overly complicates it and makes gearing against dagger stsf so impossible.
So, a dagger stsf will win melee because the -dex advantage, the increased evade, increased concealed attacks, increased weapon strikes, the potential of -str dropping weapons, AND then finally the charging of stsf.
That's a crazy combination. If other classes had ways to also -dex the high dex races we'd be on a more level playing field. But admit it, not many skills, supplications, or spells exist that can be used to mitigate the dex advantage of an agile warrior.
