Fun extremist ideas!

Ok, I think the fun idea, so you allow for combos, is to have an evil set, chaotic set, orderly set, and good set, and then like 8 combos you can make

Evil
- Descrate: Taint the hometown altar so that any in your range could not recall there for a certain period (should you actually know who recalls there!)
- Protection Good
- Exacerbate: Supplication to worsen char's race vulnerability, maybe double it, I don't know, since you still have to have right circumstances to use this
- Defile: Damage supplication that hurts goods the most (lose wrath)
- Blasphemy: Based on your morale vs. theirs, your evil zeal and horrible but powerful beliefs hinder the target's own faith, hindering the communing ability of target
- Apocalypse: Straight up damage supplication to rain down burning rock on the area. Actually, to make it fun and different, have it be less damage, but cover the whole damn area! Let it rain on the tick for a little while.

Good
- Altar Blessing: In the presence of their hometown altar (or deity shrine) can get a powerful frenzy/bless type of spell, and boost in mana/hp [playing off the totem idea to an extent]
- Protection evil
- Holy light: Damage supp that hurts evil most (lose wrath)
- about all i have... don't want these to be like paladins, should be just as nasty as evils

Orderly
- Altar Gate: Oh yes, can gate to the temple of the big hometowns. Healers get gate for chrissakes, and Shamans are just PO'd healers, right?
- Teleport Curse (don't get reg curse)
- ChaosBane - damage of melee strikes much stronger on chaotic victims
- Orderly Recitation - can concentrate enough in battle to recite scrolls
- Enhanced meditation - restore mana much more quickly, because of orderly zeal and all that
- Focused vision: Can gaze at a target and using the clairvoyance of a prophet can incrementally learn details about them with each casting (timer of course), from hit points to specializations to cabal to hometown

Chaotic
- Disperse: Awww yeah! (actually no, one of the most ridiculous powers of all time, next to $%#$%# garble)
- Curse
- Protection Order
- Holy Fury: Will commune some random combo of some of your attacking supps at once on the person.
- Holy Favor: Automatic - will randomly commune a healing supp on you in battle, at a random frequency, of course
- Battle Fervor: In the chaos of large battles, chaotic shamans thrive, striking with more strength and frequency, and using the melee chaos to avoid more strikes as well
- Restlessness: Target can't sleep (but also protected from sleep/jacking)
- Griefing: Chaotic Shamans can summon higher-level mobs, and some otherwise non-summonable ones too

Fun extremist ideas!

callowin April 14, 2009 12:17PM

Some of these are somewhat bland, some are cool :) nt

Cerunnir(VIP) April 15, 2009 07:43AM

These are nice ideas but

daurwyn(VIP) April 14, 2009 10:59PM

Just skimmed them. But teleport curse would probably be OP

Java April 14, 2009 12:50PM

Four comboes, since you cant be orderly and chaotic at the same time. nt

Cerunnir(VIP) April 14, 2009 12:29PM

NG/NE and LN/CN? n/t

Atavios April 14, 2009 09:00PM

He said like 19 times that there would be no Neutral, ethos or align. nt

Java April 14, 2009 09:23PM

What about spheres?

The Baron April 14, 2009 03:13AM

That's 112 abilitites to code for the spheres pool alone. Eek. (nt)

briartangle April 14, 2009 04:31AM

Exactly - Think of the customization options!

The Baron April 14, 2009 07:57AM

It isn't just coding.

Java April 14, 2009 09:54AM

people already choose spheres for powers

daurwyn(VIP) April 14, 2009 11:43AM

Not really.

Java April 14, 2009 12:45PM

Two pools for each align/ethos?

NbM April 13, 2009 04:44PM

Hm..

Cerunnir(VIP) April 13, 2009 05:25PM

I've always wanted this as well. Extremes are their domain -nt-
