I disagree.

Anyone who considers himself evil might group with a goodie for a variety with reasons, but I cannot see a single real reason for a goodie to group with an evil and still remain in the "good" area.

If you're willing to offer assistance someone you know has killed orphans/elves/everyone else because you both have similar interests, that is not an inherently good action, that is an inherently neutral or possibly evil action.

"For the sake of convenience I'll fight alongside you even though I was friends with that storm giant whose ribcage you're wearing and I knew the babies whose skulls hang from your flail."

Um, yeah, you must play some really screwed up goodies, then. He has a red aura for a reason: its not cause he walks old ladies across busy streets. Its cause he steals their purses afterwards and beats them for fun.

Anyone else find it odd that you can't group with good if your evil in Battle or vice versa? nt.

aussie13 May 30, 2009 04:13PM

There is already too many chars in battle that ignore alignment at the moment.

Sam May 31, 2009 12:20AM

Just the fact that you asked this question

vortex_magus May 30, 2009 08:52PM

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Java May 30, 2009 09:18PM

How does a storm giant differentiate good evil in battle

Graham June 02, 2009 12:46PM

So you think they don't need to roleplay being "good"?

Java June 02, 2009 12:56PM

They -MUST- roleplay being good, but how does that translate to battle?

Graham June 03, 2009 12:08AM

It isn't exactly good roleplay

agraemas May 30, 2009 10:00PM

I disagree.

vortex_magus May 31, 2009 03:00AM

Define Evil than

agraemas May 31, 2009 10:05AM

Do a "help alignment" buddy. Then read it. And then read it again. Then take a nap and come back when you know what you're talking about. nt

Java May 31, 2009 10:09AM

Just because it's in a helpfile

agraemas May 31, 2009 10:15AM

It's for game balance as much as roleplay

ExPaladin(VIP) May 31, 2009 10:34AM

Re: Just because it's in a helpfile

VoiceOfReason May 31, 2009 10:34AM

They are the ones that created the game. Alignment is a HUGE facet of their game. They aren't wrong.

Java May 31, 2009 10:33AM

Okay. Here's an example

agraemas May 31, 2009 11:57AM

Okay dude

vortex_magus May 31, 2009 02:33PM

How much are they actually gaining out of grouping?

agraemas June 02, 2009 11:55AM

So you're saying you can't interact, unless you're in a group? nt

Java June 02, 2009 12:21PM

The more time you spend with someone

agraemas June 02, 2009 12:50PM

Except it won't work that way.

Java June 02, 2009 12:55PM

I never travel with them. Ever. Except for maybe a rare retrieval.

agraemas June 02, 2009 01:21PM

Kill/ignore is your choice. You could easily choose to interact without grouping.

Splntrd June 02, 2009 03:11PM

That's fine. I'm not saying the interactions don't exist

agraemas June 02, 2009 04:25PM

Because it won't

Java June 02, 2009 04:29PM

Why not? Doesn't your cabal still raid/retrieve?

Java June 02, 2009 01:24PM

Re: Okay. Here's an example

WarEagle May 31, 2009 12:15PM

Hi. The imms aren't wrong on this one. You're powergaming. nt

Scrimbul May 31, 2009 10:28AM

I agree completely nt.

aussie13 May 30, 2009 11:08PM

Yes, that's exactly good roleplay. You're wrong. nt

alansmithee May 30, 2009 10:37PM

Someone can be evil and not be a baby killer.

agraemas May 31, 2009 10:12AM

So what? They're still evil. If they aren't evil, then they're not evil.

alansmithee May 31, 2009 11:24AM

But, and I think you're missing this part, they still HAVE TO BE EVIL. nt

Java May 31, 2009 10:34AM

Except you can have the same goals, and two incompatible ways of achieving those goals.

Java May 30, 2009 10:06PM

Ok, but they are both loners anyway

agraemas May 30, 2009 10:10PM

No they aren't, did you even watch them?

Java May 30, 2009 11:19PM

If they aren't compatible

agraemas May 31, 2009 10:02AM

That's just a stupid, stupid, stupid thing to say. And oh so wrong.

Java May 31, 2009 10:07AM

You were the one who said they weren't compatible

agraemas May 31, 2009 10:18AM

OF COURSE Alignment has something to do with it.

Java May 31, 2009 10:31AM

You are so offensive

agraemas May 31, 2009 12:02PM

Why would battle be exempt from roleplay?

alansmithee May 30, 2009 08:15PM

alignment is about morality

morocco May 30, 2009 04:53PM

No...if they could then they should all be neutral~

Habbs May 30, 2009 04:43PM
