I think you missed the point.

Giving people a ST walk-through OOC is an established no-no (regardless of how retarded some of the quest/prog logic is, I know).

My point was that basically doing the same thing IC, having some support char or just random dude to stroke your ego follow you around while you say, "Push this. Pull that. Say this. Use this on that. Do this at this time. Don't do this in that order. Etc. etc." was, apparently, the same as the above in Nep's eyes, or so it seemed after reading some of his posts / imm comments.

There is a point where simply spewing prep, quest, etc. knowledge as quickly as you can in the MUD is no different than doing it on AIM, IRC, ICQ, etc. This is an exaggeration, I know, but if my hero mage went around passing out penned (as in the skills) wand lists to people and writing up howtos for things IC and say, submitting the answers to Thera's greatest puzzles to the Lyceum, for example, I'd get in trouble. Simply copying your CF cheat sheets onto the MUD via the say/tell commands doesn't mean it's IC.
