My little brother has some serious ADD. However, as he has become an adult he has really come around and deals with it exceptionally well. He takes no medication.
The owner of my company has ADD. Not quite as bad as my brother, but still bad. He has no college and he is now co-owner of a multi-million dollar small company, as well as two fledgling businesses. I've come to realize the ADD is what lets him multi-task on a level that I certainly can't achieve without some extreme stress. He does take Aderol though.
Since working for him I've boosted sales in all three businesses quite a bit. He does a bunch of random crap and takes on too much stuff. I streamline everything he wants to do. It's a good partnership so far. I'm diverting though. Point is, don't let ADD hamper you. It can be a useful "ability". Use it to your advantage.
