I generally agree with this post. However...

This doesn't seem right. I don't really feel hamstrung as a non-neutral-killing-goodie. What do I miss out on? Some ideas:
garnet rings (big deal- get opal)
jeweled broadsword (can either make an exception for that mob due to the circumstances, which you mention, or do without- no big deal)
midnight dragon gear (assuming you can't steal a key, this one is annoying, but i can usually manage to do w/o that gear. alternately you can make an exception for that particular mob due to the circumstances. this is more debatable than the human sergeant, IMO.)
dern gear (unless you consider that him attacking you = you're free to punk him; this is only relevant for good-aligned dwarves)
What am I missing? Point being- I don't think a restriction against killing neutrals really gimps goodies that badly.
