I did do a search on this, but didn't really like the answers I found.
If I were to make a warrior purely for exploration (solo and grouped) what would you recommend?
I've been thinking:
Arial - for high int (cbf practicing, especially lore) and dex.
Sword/Spear - sword for solo exploration, and spear for bleeding + grouped tanking.
Felar - for dual wield on defensive specs, 100% h2h, good dex and high hp.
Spear/Pole - Spear for bleeding and exploration, pole for chargeset abuse.
Weaknesses of both are they can't explore underwater, but apart from Koa Toa lair, I've not great urge to look around there anyway. Any other races you might recommend? I was considering Duergar for their stats + detect hidden, but I like Arial/Felar for the fact I can go neutral and avoid most PK harassment.
Also, on the Arial, would you recommend polearm over spear? I understand slice can cause bleeding too, the question is whether or not chargeset damage outweighs the the loss of defence on spin over distance.
Finally, legacies. Whisper is almost certainly a must, but what else? I was thinking dance for pure tankiness assistance, but would it be less useful on a 25dex warrior? Perhaps gates for dam reduction, soul for pure HP, ward of blades? I'm really unsure for the second legacy.
Any advice would be great, cheers.
