..just because people take a blind eye to whats obviously occurring around them, doesn't mean it's not happening. I'm proud of Tongni for bringing this topic up and hopefully it opens the eyes of the staff and they can do something to better the game as well as the player populace. I brought up the topic before, but I'll explicitly say what many others did, the game is far more predicated on having prior game knowledge then it has ever been. This is a barrier to entry for returning players as well as new players and leaves only existing players as a viable part of the playerbase. This obviously leads to a diminishing populace and if a list of wands gets a ton of people to play then by all means let them have the list. I like the mystique that the game has to offer, but the way in which preps are so vital to the game, it's a detriment to the overall fun factor of the game to keep it under lock and key.
I know the following generic Santa Zulgh wasn't considered, but I think it's not too terrible an option for having an alternative to the current system.

As an aside, I hate the observation point system; as my most recent character, I could barely purchase any edge points because I was too busy interacting with others or levelling. I'm not a fan of exploring these days and for that I'm punished. That sounds like a great technique to alienate certain playing styles.
