Tribunal just needs another imm, preferably one known for being involved.

October 23, 2012 05:51PM
Having spent the entire summer playing one, I can tell you that the turnover is really bad in Tribunal. They just need more love than they currently get. How did Tryphen and Ziruanja make it a thousand hours in the cabal with no titles whatsoever? That goes for nearly all Tribunals. Little recognition for the boredom, whereas if you join any other cabal and show some proficiency you are almost guaranteed some love.

What would it take to make Tribunal not suck?

laearrist October 23, 2012 11:43AM

I have enjoyed every tribunal I have run, since they were arbiters (n/t)

Zheeser October 26, 2012 11:22AM

WOULD SOMEONE PUT IN THE WORK AND MAKE A VINDICATOR ALREADY AND SHUT THESE FOOLS UP (n/t)

Frosty October 25, 2012 09:12AM

heh I consistently put over 400 hours into Trib chars

wishore October 25, 2012 11:08AM

Sorry Immteraction from Marcatis (n/t)

wishore October 25, 2012 01:35PM

How much work do you anticipate?

laearrist October 25, 2012 10:44AM

a more visibly involved imm, same as outlander

Quas October 25, 2012 02:11AM

I've said it once, I'll say it again

HairyOrangutan October 24, 2012 04:09AM

Most tribs would prefer stronger guildguards to hide behind rather than more conflict, imo. (n/t)

bell October 24, 2012 03:16PM

tribs don't need anything power wise, they certainly have the upper hand in the trib/outlander conflict

Quas October 25, 2012 04:42AM

I disagree.

Kez October 25, 2012 11:30PM

Refresh is op (n/t)

Quas October 26, 2012 02:01AM

It's not that useful when retreating

daurwyn(VIP) October 26, 2012 03:11AM

And if you beat them up you don't need to retreat (n/t)

Quas October 26, 2012 02:02AM

Indeed. I think insects is wildly OP and doesnt get enough press. (n/t)

Artificial October 26, 2012 12:47AM

Except for provost/vindicator all the powers are purely defensive. Tribunal needs less defense and more offense.

semi_newbie October 25, 2012 08:56AM

Not convinced

daurwyn(VIP) October 25, 2012 10:37PM

nah. it's just not worth a fight where at any point the outlander can

The Forsaken(VIP) October 24, 2012 05:37PM

Or sit one step outside the Spire and be safe, as someone previously mentioned. (n/t)

Kez October 25, 2012 04:14AM

I brought that up to the imms - silliness to 'war' yet allow the enemy safety in your city. nt

The Forsaken(VIP) October 25, 2012 04:57AM

the tribs are like cops

Quas October 25, 2012 05:32AM

Re: wanted status

Quixotic October 25, 2012 06:36AM

there is a lot of times where they aren't wanted.

tesline October 25, 2012 05:55AM

How many outlanders have you played?

zoskia October 25, 2012 07:13AM

I've seen it a lot

daurwyn(VIP) October 26, 2012 03:06AM

I'm more of a serial tribunal player.

tesline October 25, 2012 07:45AM

That likely has less to do with being wanted then sheer numbers

Quas October 25, 2012 07:52AM

Autosneak makes life easier

daurwyn(VIP) October 26, 2012 03:08AM

i'm talking about when trib has the fetish nt

The Forsaken(VIP) October 25, 2012 05:35AM

If cops arrested "the boss" they wouldn't disallow gang members from the public space around the jail (n/t)

Quas October 25, 2012 07:24AM

Give them a new power called 'Tribunal corden' where they can make an area of town really difficult to move into or out of when they have fetish etc (n/t)

abernyte October 25, 2012 12:42PM

or at least a way to see through chameleon. nt

The Forsaken(VIP) October 24, 2012 08:56AM

(WANTED) are always visible to Tribunals? (n/t)

Kez October 24, 2012 04:44PM

No, they can only see hidden/invis while in town which does nto mean improved invis (n/t)

Zheeser October 24, 2012 05:39PM

No I meant it as an idea.

Kez October 24, 2012 06:06PM

The better pk ers shouldn't need it

daurwyn(VIP) October 25, 2012 01:53AM

More warriors with maelstrom/one with shadows (n/t)

Baroness October 24, 2012 03:58AM

Does One with Shadows trigger purely because the target is concealed or does it have to be ambush/blackjack and the like? (n/t)

Scrimbul October 24, 2012 05:59AM

I recall a thing or two about it

Baroness October 24, 2012 06:58AM

Wis based, negates attack, plus unblockable counter (n/t)

starbright October 24, 2012 07:57AM

Making svirf or minotaur the best candidates for kicking ass with it? (n/t)

Baroness October 24, 2012 09:35AM

Does it counter the ambush or you still get hit and just get a free attack? (n/t)

ORB October 24, 2012 07:00AM

Just an idea. Would Outlander camo suffer...

Kez October 24, 2012 02:57AM

Huh. Since you'd usually just have your gear located anyway... not a bad idea. (n/t)

The_Joker October 24, 2012 08:33AM

I like this idea. And I enjoy Outlanders...

laearrist October 24, 2012 04:18AM

It has some advantages to the outlander too

daurwyn(VIP) October 26, 2012 03:16AM

Tribunal just needs another imm, preferably one known for being involved.

Jiijjustan October 23, 2012 05:51PM

Some kind of rework would draw this type of involvement.

Scrimbul October 23, 2012 06:27PM

If this happens, Maran will have to be beefed

starbright October 24, 2012 08:04AM

totally! i refuse to play Maran because of Fortress. nt

The Forsaken(VIP) October 24, 2012 09:01AM

I agree with you that it would be awesome to turn Maran into Scion-Good. That is why I suggested sticking Acolyte in Tribunal and giving it an orderly bent. (n/t)

Scrimbul October 24, 2012 08:14AM

Moving acolytes to tribunal would be an immense nerf to maran, who are already one of the weakest cabal skillsets in the game.

vortexmagus October 24, 2012 07:06AM

Don't forget that it's an insta-nerf to the Tribunal/Empire bandwagon and the Fortlander bandwagon. (n/t)

Scrimbul October 24, 2012 08:15AM

A VERY good post. Not that I agree with everything. But it's very good! Post this on gameplay on officials! :) (n/t)

deriveh October 23, 2012 08:50PM

Done. I very seriously doubt it will have any long term effect, and many of the points presented are opinion.

Scrimbul October 23, 2012 11:59PM

My Take

NiceGuy October 23, 2012 05:46PM

Main problem IMO is...

Kez October 23, 2012 04:17PM

Tribunal and Outlander have the same problem when raiding against each other.

DurNominator(VIP) October 23, 2012 08:03PM

Don't agree

daurwyn(VIP) October 23, 2012 10:07PM

How many defenders were there when you took the scales?

DurNominator(VIP) October 23, 2012 10:49PM

Re: How many defenders were there when you took the scales?

daurwyn(VIP) October 25, 2012 01:56AM

Incorrect. Outlanders have an edge.

crafteddeception October 23, 2012 08:33PM

Question about vulnerable to other factions

hopelessdwarf October 23, 2012 08:55PM

Try playing an Evil outlander with no cabal powers

crafteddeception October 24, 2012 06:12AM

Just do what every other Outlander does: log off. (n/t)

Kez October 24, 2012 04:06PM

Sounds like easy street compared to duerg villager. (n/t)

alansmithee October 24, 2012 07:02AM

Maybe. Ive never tried. But having the option to sit at the Big D

crafteddeception October 24, 2012 07:24AM

Empire is also a defined enemy of Outlander (n/t)

DurNominator(VIP) October 23, 2012 09:37PM

First of all, get rid of the freaking rangers already (n/t)

Zheeser October 23, 2012 03:58PM

I posted ideas about this long ago

Mek October 23, 2012 03:00PM

This biggest problem I see with this, though

Stevers October 23, 2012 08:02PM

My method for that is included in all the details I don't want to bother with writing here. If an Imm is interested, they can contact me. -nt-

Mek October 24, 2012 12:22PM

Re: I posted ideas about this long ago

qurdind October 23, 2012 04:13PM

Yes. Raid. That's it exactly. I couldn't think of the word! -nt-

Mek October 23, 2012 05:31PM

So we want to become a text version of WoW? (n/t)

BlkDrgn October 24, 2012 06:34AM

Silence. -nt-

Mek October 24, 2012 12:21PM

merchants would be affected nicely with a system like this (n/t)

Zheeser October 23, 2012 04:00PM

I like this idea, but seems like a lot of work...

laearrist October 23, 2012 03:19PM

Quit lurking and IMM again, please. (n/t)

Demtok October 23, 2012 03:18PM

Get rid of Trib and put the Imperials in charge of the cities. (n/t)

igsoeh October 23, 2012 02:38PM

That would be awesome. It could be a new age. (n/t)

The_Joker October 24, 2012 09:02AM

Re: That would be awesome. It could be a new age.

Artificial October 24, 2012 10:31AM

Create a two-tier system

hopelessdwarf October 23, 2012 01:25PM

What we need is a 5 point plan

Demtok October 23, 2012 02:10PM

9-9-9! (n/t)

satchmo October 23, 2012 04:43PM

You forgot sticking it to the Sultan for falsifying his economic data from the seaport (n/t)

hopelessdwarf October 23, 2012 03:34PM

Let Evils back in! (n/t)

Demtok October 23, 2012 01:17PM

since when can evils not join? I had an evil tribunal a year ago... (n/t)

satchmo October 23, 2012 01:44PM

Maybe you were the last one a year ago. (n/t)

Demtok October 23, 2012 01:52PM

huh...it might have been 2 years. Anyway, that sucks. Law is law, alignment shouldn't matter.

satchmo October 23, 2012 04:45PM

Evil can still be in Tribunal. Just harder to get in. (n/t)

Matrik October 23, 2012 07:40PM

Re: What would it take to make Tribunal not suck?

ibuki October 23, 2012 12:54PM

I agree with everything here. (n/t)

Artificial October 23, 2012 01:05PM

I think its just the nature of tribunal or arbiter.

ghuljun_thul October 23, 2012 12:27PM

man, I hated those guys. Shit, time to go kill tribunals. (n/t)

satchmo October 23, 2012 01:45PM

Powers that worked outside of cities?

ORB October 23, 2012 12:04PM

Already exists. (n/t)

Frosty October 23, 2012 12:31PM

I mean for everyone not just 2-3 people in cabal (n/t)
