I guess it show us that Fire or Storm giants are not as good as other rangers.
I think it is not about their size or stats. Clouds are awesome and have much more attempts (197 in total).
I guess it because of combos.

Storm Mariner and Savage/Hunter (correct me, but most Hunter skills are dex based, no). Can join Battle, Fort, Trib, Outlanders

Fire Cavern/Bedouin Savage/Beastmaster - (a bit more options then Storm, but evil rangers always seemed to me harder to play then others).. But if we look closer - Bedouin loose bearcharge and this is bad for Giant ranger. Not lethal, but bad. Can join Battle, Empire, Trib, Scion, Outlanders.

and.. Cloud Forest/Plains/Mountains Hunter/Beastmaste/Savage/Survivalist Much more options. And you are neutral. You can rank where you want to, you not tied to battlefield at 30-40, you can join battle, nexus, trib, outlander.

After this shot (hehe) and useless analysis - it is clear why clouds more popular and why fire is just 3 less then storms (evil rangers are really pain. If I would like to make "hunt everyone" ranger, I prefer neutral Outlander or Battle).

And i think Storms should have more options then Mariner/Savage
