Well, let me lay some knowledge on you.

May 16, 2013 01:29PM
Pick up equipment and sell it.

3/4 armor shops and 1/2 weapon shop in galadon. 2 traders (treasure). Second number is if you're a warrior.
Kobold warrens merchant buys weapons/armor/treasure
Tir-Talath has two weapon/armor merchants and a treasure buyer.
Everyone in Cragstone buys treasure. 2 merchants buy weapons, 2 buy armor.
Wands tend to be worth a bit. pick them up and sell them too.
type "clothing" generally sales at general stores (like in Galadon)
Ruins of Delar-tol has like 8 merchants that buy weapons/armor/treasure
Hamsah Mu'tazz docks has various merchants. 2 merchants each for weapon/armor
Seantryn has a weapon shop and armor shop
Halfling lands buy treasure, weapon, armor

That's just a short quick list off the top of my head. You can "list" anywhere and see what a merchant will buy. Beware the bazaar, they pay out shit margins.

Where do you find equipment to sell?
Tir-Talath guard shamshirs
Galadon cityguard silvery rings and shields
John the lumberjack equipment, his dryad wife's equipment, and the dark-elf transmuter's wand/gown
Kill the guards at the merchant mansion south of aturi, sell that shit in aturi. Everything is worth 1-3 gold.
level 30? kill the red dragon sell his shit
free gems at the gem farm on the way into cragstone. 300-800 per gem. nice and light
gem in the campfire south of Evermoon, grab it every time

basically anything that has equipment take it and sell it. Tons of stuff is easy to get and worth a pretty penny.

Every merchant in the world out of gold? Barter for your food/potions/everything to save money.

Put your money in the bank so I don't take it.

Evil? Kill the merchant and let him respawn with more money.

It doesn't take a genius or 10 years worth of play to figure out that you can pick shit up and sell it.

EDIT to add: Kill an imperial and take his golds

Sportsmanship killed CF

A quick question...

TaterPig May 16, 2013 12:59AM

Because the playerbase is too lazy to add anything useful to help newbies. They would rather just complain about how bad newbies have it.

Matrik May 16, 2013 06:09AM

Guranteed the Imms change them if you start naming them. It's a losing proposition. (n/t)

ORB May 16, 2013 07:23AM

As Evidenced when I shared shark bait

daurwyn(VIP) May 17, 2013 02:57AM

Hey right, I'm so sure they are going to remove prot vs alignemnt from Galadon apothecary if you let the secret out

Matrik May 16, 2013 07:45AM

We both know that's not what I'm talking about. (n/t)

ORB May 16, 2013 12:19PM

What? It's exactly what I'm talking about. That shit is allowed and would help newbies, yet no one adds anything.

Matrik May 16, 2013 01:00PM

People can and do share these things ic

daurwyn(VIP) May 17, 2013 02:59AM

Getting caballed was when I actually learned stuff.

Re: Wiki

PaulO May 16, 2013 08:37AM

Haven't started yet. Built a few sheets. I was just going to add to each area's map the items found there.

Matrik May 16, 2013 08:49AM

I help newbies... Ingame.

Forsooth May 16, 2013 06:25AM

Maybe. Look at all the posts below complaining about it though, when it is outright allowed to share. They just want to complain. (n/t)

Matrik May 16, 2013 07:06AM

Counter-point

Nurok May 16, 2013 06:39AM

Re: Counter-point

Forsooth May 16, 2013 07:19AM

Weak argument

zoskia May 16, 2013 11:37AM

I'd have to agree.

slevnin May 16, 2013 01:26PM

I want all newbies to know preps and gear

zoskia May 16, 2013 01:36PM

It would ruin the game for ownership and vets

Wendigotorn May 16, 2013 04:50AM

Re: It would ruin the game for ownership and vets

NbM(VIP) May 16, 2013 05:28AM

If you've ever died to bash as a non-villager, then the wraithform prep would have been useful to you at that time. (n/t)

vortexmagus May 16, 2013 05:43AM

Prep knowledge isn't hard to get.

zannon May 16, 2013 05:48AM

I beg to differ, prep knowledge it hard to get

slevnin May 16, 2013 08:11AM

That's not really the point.

wrathpuppet May 16, 2013 08:48AM

Fair enough. For sale and being able to afford them are two different things. (n/t)

slevnin May 16, 2013 09:32AM

That sounds like a problem of resource management rather than prep knowledge.

wrathpuppet May 16, 2013 10:16AM

knowledge is what I lack, which means no resources (n/t)

slevnin May 16, 2013 01:17PM

Well, let me lay some knowledge on you.

Matrik May 16, 2013 01:29PM

Thanks (n/t)

slevnin May 16, 2013 03:05PM

Why do we not talk about the "other" slow prep?

wrathpuppet May 16, 2013 06:36AM

He said resist metal. Not mental :) NT

Sam May 16, 2013 06:02AM

Fine, I know of one resist metal prep that is always available.

zannon May 16, 2013 06:44AM

Yep. Has a slightly bad drawback (though most vets can counter that easily). NT

Sam May 16, 2013 06:56AM

I sure don't care, I've shown quite a few people it after I figured it out... (n/t)

vortexmagus May 16, 2013 05:50AM

You do realize all those things have happened, right?

Sam May 16, 2013 05:14AM

Because Doing such a thing might actually raise our playerbase...Blasphemy. (n/t)

Nurok May 16, 2013 04:41AM

Because we are all forum Ragers. We hate magic and don't want people using it. (n/t)

Batman May 16, 2013 04:03AM

Can't be having a level play field, that's crazy talk. (n/t)

ORB May 16, 2013 03:57AM

Because once preps become common info they get moved or taken out. n/t

jalim May 16, 2013 01:03AM

This n/t

Forsooth May 16, 2013 04:40AM

Then let's start posting it. (n/t)

Pro May 16, 2013 04:48AM

My prep savvy is something that I will share in-game, or not at all.

Forsooth May 16, 2013 06:19AM

And thus the cycle continues :( NT
