Look, tough guy, I didn't say anything about it being good or bad. The issue I hate, and will continue to hate, is the 'you should only be thankful for the game' 'shut up and enjoy the gift you are giving' 'they toil for free and don't owe us' 'why can't you just shut up and play the game' versions of the argument that really shuts down the whole key point I just made. If no one but the admins of the game were playing, it would be a stupid sucky game.

To take your sportsball analogy, what if some people want to play 21, some people want to play full court, and some other people want to play horse. Maybe some people just want to run suicides. I dunno, the point is, last time I checked, humans have to work out compromises to allow a lot of people to use thing in a way that makes the most of them happy. Yeah, some people might say screw that and leave. Most should stay, if it's a healthy compromise.

If what you have is 5 people playing with their heads down and threatening anyone who walks onto the court with a beatdown if they even ask about maybe playing half court so other people can also use the court....then yeah. That's broken, and it's stupid.
