You then shouldn't be surprised when we call your bluff.
This is the MAIN problem with this game. The acrimonious way in which certain players and groups of players go about trying to get changes made.
You know what? Everything that has gone into CF since I started playing it again in 2005 was stuff that was asked for, in a lot of cases repeatedly, and in every case there was what amounted to years of heated argument and trading of insults. Usually because The Ultimatum gets made, or one like it.
Personally, I'm going to stop calling the bluff. I am, however, only doing it so that I can instead call out the ultimatum and we can have real discussions.
We as a community need to stop being so hyperbolic. Further, we need to be patient. Reading the Future Direction posts on the Officials should put everyones mind at ease. The general long history of CF should put everyones mind at ease. IMPs change. The MUD changes. The community changes. Things are nothing like how they used to be, where certain Imms would participate in the juvenile volleys which used to surround discussion of changes. We may have lost Santa Zulgh, where we could directly see our ideas get implemented once a year... But does Santa Zulgh not set a precident which influences the MUD and its current IMPs? That for CF to be enjoyable it requires a population of players isn't something that is lost on anyone. I think they've (the staff) made it abundantly clear that they are open to how the community feels about the game, and that those opinions shape the game.
