I took it recently as elf sword rager and it parried a dirt kick from a city guard once. It’s crazy. Used to be good and worth edge points. Now it’s terrible and is still the most expensive edge. I was pissed too.
As far as Maran goes if you were that many hours and didn’t have drama with your character like killing goodies or whatever they just didn’t like you or nobody is watching fort right now.
