And apparently he was too, because otherwise he could hit a storm giant.

And finally, if it's as bad as all that, he does have summon. Ganging the storm giant down, looting/saccing all that saves gear and then subsequently fighting him solo until he gets it again is an option, it's just one no one likes to use or admit to doing. A last resort, and one which reveals the skill of a player depending on how much time/effort/con they've sacrificed trying to fight this guy solo in the past.

I've ganked down Tribunal paladins on their home turf with Aether's ap's help. I still nearly fucking died and they still only got an even more powerful set later on in life. This isn't any different.
