With the exception of a kiosk app that used an iris scanner that had no drivers for Linux.

But that being said, if he took an Excel approach he could be done in 15 minutes. You're overcomplicating things.

Elystan February 12, 2014 01:07PM

PaulO February 11, 2014 10:17AM

Do not listen to this man.

Srev February 09, 2014 08:20PM

For a complete piece of software, would several languages be involved?

Elystan February 10, 2014 01:59AM

C++ for the actual computation hard work and Python for frontend interface has been done before.

DurNominator(VIP) February 10, 2014 08:25AM

These days you do everything in python; you rarely need to write your own libs in C (n/t)

cenatar February 11, 2014 07:43AM

That depends on the scale of the project, mostly.

Srev February 10, 2014 06:45AM

There are reasons for and against that. Usually, it's a bad idea to mix languages. (n/t)
