I'm totally with you on that. It really is inevitable. And in general, I'm pro-globalism. But it's not the globalism current globalists propose. The idea of international corporations exploiting all is definitely not the globalism I'd support. However the idea of the whole Earth being united as one collaborating society is. But that kind of unification involves cooperation and integration, not shelling and exploitation.

US is perceived as a heir to British Empire. You've inherited their control over naval trading routes, WASP are descendants of English imperial tradition. You treat your colonies in the same manner as British Empire has treated theirs. So for the outsider, it's the same anglo-saxon world.

As for that type of negotiations, it is widely believed that common strategy of U.S. negotiations is creating a problem for the vis-a-vis, then negotiate something for removing it. Note the latest Trump's "Russia suffers from sanctions, we need nuclear deal, perhaps something can be done about it". No, nothing can be done about it. Sanctions is the pressure point that you have created, we're not gonna negotiate to give you something so that you remove them. The same goes for Syria. The whole situation was created by United States, we won't give up something so that you pull out. As those are extortion, not negotiations :)
