The entire point of the article was to describe the process that a governing body uses to cede control away from it's people. To get more power and control, the Nazi's took small steps, and veered towards keeping government workings secret. They reasoned with their people that things were "too complicated", or that "national security" depended on their secrecy. By pulling the wool over everyones eyes, and taking small, bold and incremental steps they accomplished an impossible and terrible end.
Our government has been doing the same thing for eight years. The history and record of these Neo-Cons is frightening. Their ultimate goal? Bigger government so as to control / democratize the world.
The administration is very secretive.
