Warning: Lots of boring GW guild type stuff to follow.
I left [Te] due to personality conflict with another one of the other members that really worsened when the leader took a few weeks off and the player in question became a lot more outspoken. Not long after that the rest of the guild splintered and two left to form [rawr]. Some of the others formed a new guild for a month or two but they never really got back into it.
I joined [QQ] as they had lost a couple of their core players (one being the leader of the guild) and played with them for about a month. Unfortunately, one of the other replacements they got was terrible and we sucked really bad at first. Just like in [Te], it's hard for people to go from being considered one of the best in the world to playing terrible as a team. They kept hemorrhaging their original core players until 2 of the remaining 3 jumped ship and joined [iQ]. That effectively ended [QQ]. After this, I joined [rawr] but my interest in playing wasn't what it used to be. There aren't any more huge world championships and I don't really feel like trying to start over again. I'm still in [rawr] but haven't played a game in over 6 months. Maybe a year. It's been a while.
[rawr] is still doing good, and are contenders in all the automated monthly tournaments. I still keep in touch with lots of people, and went out and got drinks a few nights with Scotty from [rawr] a couple of weeks ago when he was visiting NYC from Australia. I think GW2 has the potential to be another great game.
I'm also attempting to make my own game which has consumed nearly all of my spare time.
