I've done it and vinyl (think wood planks but similar to textured laminate). I like both. Vinyl was pretty easy to do, pergo kind of easy. It depends on how much curvature you're facing to make a guess. Vinyl would be pretty easy, though, to trip with a utility knife and fit snugly in place. Again, don't mistake vinyl for being linoleum or laminate, there is a difference.

If you're just looking at a six foot curve though, you could handle that pretty well.
