Average republican. Yup.
McCain Lieberman. McCain Kennedy. Member of the "gang of 9".etc. etc. etc.
Mexamericanada anyone? That's like cryptonite to the conservative voter.
He's the average republican because he's been doing shit for 30 years that pisses off the conservatives.
This is why I think Palin was a smart political choice for him.
I knew many conservatives who, before, were not going to vote for McCain no-way no-how.....well...maybe if he picked Romney.
But out of the blue he picks someone who knows how to talk the conservative game.
I mean, it looks like she talks the conservative game well. And it looks like she has experience going against entrenched political corruption, and as governor of a state, her state is financially solvent (something VERY few governors can claim). Those three things put together in one candidate is meat and potatoes for conservatives. I know more than one conservative who would not have voted for "Cino"* McCain before, but is considering it now.
*Cino = Conservative in name only
I, no joke, will probably still write in Michael Savage. even though in florida write-in votes aren't even counted.
I've just had too much of the republicrats trying to solidify their base by saying demicans are evil, and demicans trying to solidify their base by saying republicrats are evil......while when you actually look at what gets DONE in national government, there is so VERY VERY little difference.
And it's no coincidence that almost every election cycle the only thing republicrats and demicans publicly agree on...is to make new rules making it harder for third party candidates to get in on the action.
