As for that letter, that was insane. The over reaction was clearly because of ignorance but I do admire the fact that the teacher seems somewhat assuaged now she's learned the truth. True zealots would have kept on going out of stubborness and stupidty. Imho, this isn't too over-the-top a case because although she did the American thing and threatened to sue everyone involved, it's clear her morals are in the right place and she genuinely though it a threat to her kids. What makes for the really sad classical lawsuits is when they're just in it for profit - to the point they fabricate all sorts of utter bullshit (ref. The McDonalds Hot Coffee incident) in order to make a buck. Those bastards need to die, preferably in the jaws of a shark.
