When it happens, go to a command prompt and run "tracert carrionfields.com". Look for where it dies. It's possible there's a problem with some host that sits between your desktop and the machine on which the game runs.

Unfortunately, I think some versions of Vista don't ship with tracert. In that case...uh...dunno what to tell you.
