Colson Whitehead. I liked both The Intuitionist (think of it as Chaos v Order in cf!) or Apex Hides the Hurt. I didn't finish John Henry Days before I had to return it, but I liked what I started there.

Some good books to add in no particular order, all from memory over the years

I'll second "Altered Carbon"

I hope you read the next two.

Some of my favorites

Yeah, King is strange in that sometimes I just devour his books, and other times I can't get into them at all. Not sure why that is. nt

Don't feel bad, I've probably read under twenty books all my life. And I'm pretty awesome, right?

Starscream May 29, 2009 12:26PM

Heh. A couple of the books on this list really go a long way towards explaining your psychology. I'll definitely try Foucault's Pendulum, thanks. nt

Splntrd May 29, 2009 02:11PM

Yeah, but you're only like 14. You've been reading for about 6 years. nt

I knew it.
