It's a series called the Black Dagger Brotherhood. It's from the romance section and my wife got me into them, but they're actually pretty good. As long as you don't mind some almost ridiculous over the top sex scenes.

Not necessarily in the beginning of the series, but Jim Butcher's dresden files. Lots of vampire rawking.~

World War Z by Max Brooks (NOT ZSG, which is just amusing), and The Cell by Stephen King are great zombie novels.

Splntrd August 13, 2009 11:10AM

The Cell was just okay imo

I got that feeling too, but that's not atypical of King. nt

I'm not a big King fan, but will definitely check out World War Z. Thanks for the rec. nt

Anne Rice is about as good as it gets for vampire stuff. She's also got some other good, non-vampire horror novels. nt
