The point

July 28, 2010 04:33PM
The point is that no corporation that now exists would want or need to incur the cost of a private army.

But, if corporations were allowed to own nuclear weapons I imagine that corporations whose sole purpose is
owning and brokering these weapons would spring up overnight.

I found this a decent read on the 2d ammendment, probably didn't hurt that it pretty much just reiterates my own opinion

ExPaladin(VIP) July 26, 2010 10:58AM

Interesting

Sebastian July 27, 2010 05:25AM

Have you read the 2nd Amendment?

Java July 27, 2010 05:43AM

For the record..

Java July 27, 2010 12:28PM

I have read it, actually.

Sebastian July 28, 2010 03:14AM

Does the Constitution give civilians the right to bear nukes? nt

Java July 28, 2010 03:31AM

I don't believe the government shoudl have access to weapons I don't. Including but not necessarily limited to nukes. nt

Rade July 28, 2010 03:38PM

Does that thought process transfer to EVERYONE ELSE?

Java July 28, 2010 10:13PM

Yes, that process does transfer to EVERYONE ELSE

Rade July 29, 2010 02:36PM

Sure, and the death ray from the Death Star as well. n/t

Sebastian July 28, 2010 10:10AM

Wow.. you're just plain old stupid, aren't you?

Java July 28, 2010 12:31PM

Realistic?

Sebastian July 29, 2010 06:37AM

You think the "redneck next door" can afford a nuke and he's the one that is stupid? n/t

Death_Claw July 28, 2010 03:45PM

Replace "redneck" with "terrorist" then. Feeling safer now? nt

Java July 28, 2010 10:20PM

No. It still makes no sense. It's not fear of jailtime that's prohibiting amassing of WOMD. n/t

Death_Claw July 29, 2010 07:39AM

Indirectly, it is.

Java July 30, 2010 01:47AM

You had me up until "because", at which point you drifted away from reality. n/t

Death_Claw July 30, 2010 09:40AM

Replace "redneck" with "corporation." (n/t)

wrathpuppet July 28, 2010 03:53PM

Corporations can buy guns. How many do? This is not Austin Powers. n/t

Death_Claw July 28, 2010 04:09PM

The point

wrathpuppet July 28, 2010 04:33PM

Re: The point

Death_Claw July 29, 2010 07:38AM

Worse than Russia and N Korea?

Sebastian July 29, 2010 06:40AM

I don't see how that pertains to anything.

Stevers July 28, 2010 03:52AM

"living document" doesn't mean "open to interpretation"

PaulO July 27, 2010 10:41AM

Um... what the hell are you talking about?

Java July 27, 2010 12:32PM

Interpretation

Sebastian July 29, 2010 06:47AM

You're a dope

Stevers July 29, 2010 06:50AM

Yes, I know who said that.

PaulO July 28, 2010 05:15PM

Not the only one... n/t (n/t)

Re: Have you read the 2nd Amendment?

Isildur(VIP) July 27, 2010 07:48AM

They had pistols then too.

Death_Claw July 27, 2010 07:57AM

I don't get what's so confusing about "shall not be infringed".

Death_Claw July 27, 2010 07:29AM

That was a huge point of the article.

The Forsaken(VIP) July 27, 2010 06:51AM

It obviously says

Stevers July 27, 2010 05:47AM

So could you

The Forsaken(VIP) July 26, 2010 11:19AM

They're under the mistaken impression that making it easier to kill people will increase violence.

vortexmagus July 26, 2010 09:17PM

Guns are badass, President Ben Franklin said it.

bell July 26, 2010 05:11PM

.....you DO know that Ben Franklin was never President, right? nt

Java July 27, 2010 12:25AM

Then why is he on the hundred while punk ass Georgie got the one?

bell July 27, 2010 02:07AM

Right after you look up the definition of sarcasm. nt

Java July 27, 2010 02:15AM

And that he probably wasn't referring to..

istirith July 27, 2010 01:05AM

It's probably overly perjorative, but I think it's the bleeding-heart part of bleeding-heart liberal

ExPaladin(VIP) July 26, 2010 12:34PM

My solution to the gun issue

Moligant July 27, 2010 07:46AM

Less teenagers would get pregnant if we used chemical castration on all teenagers. n/t

Death_Claw July 26, 2010 05:27PM

higher cost. txt

Isildur(VIP) July 26, 2010 06:57PM

I wasn't drawing an analogy to that. I was saying that just because its true doesn't mean its not stupid. n/t

Death_Claw July 26, 2010 09:07PM
