And I've read the circumstances surrounding it before.
My point is, why have words on the paper if you're going to completely ignore what the words clearly, plainly, obviously state and mean in the English language?
There are ways the words could be changed to reflect what is currently being decided by the whims of judges (unelected officials for life) instead of being in a gray "open to interpretation" area. That's how our government was set up.
The law either needs to be changed, or if you're not going to do what the law says admit that you're conducting illegal activity. I've got no problem with good people breaking bad laws, but it aggravates me when people who are paid with money raised through coercive means and undemocratically appointed to a position for life can decide what is "right" and "wrong" in the eyes of the system with little regard for the law actually says. And then they act like it's supposed to work that way.
There's plenty of bad laws already on the books. Do we really need to give judges the power to legislate too?
Am I the only one that has a problem with this?
