I can appreciate Gabe's terse point and I think Rade's argument is more valid.

I didn't want to publish things as a competition to Dioxide's in any way. I don't want forums or anything similar. Something that sucks with the Dio's sight going down is the loss of information and tools. I like the maps, the formatters, the helpfiles, and I thought it would be helpful to have an alternative to use when this site is down.

That said, Gabe's response is frustrating. I'm not a complete dick, though. I'll take the info I've gathered, retool it, and present it with neater features. It'll be offered to Gabe first, and if he doesn't want it, I'll put it up myself. I figure that's the best way to have original content and appease the powers that be.
