Mexico has PPV cards nearly every week.
You have European stars such as the Klitschko's that pack Soccer Stadiums and do a 70% share when they fight.
You have the Pan-Asian crowd that is mainly lower weight classes, but has put on 1M shows before (especially in Japan).
Now, you could argue on channels such as ESPN UK does UFC or Boxing garner higher ratings (the UK has a bit of a different broadcast system then we do I've been told)? I don't know the answer. I do know MMA is gaining momentum, and I don't think anyone who loves boxing would argue it's doing as well as it was in 1970-1980 (or even earlier). But still, you see Floyd is doing 1M + PPV buys every time he fights. UFC is lucky to have 2 or 3 of those a year (which is more than Mayweather fights, but I digress). The gate is also much different at those events, as especially in Vegas seats are more reasonably priced for UFC stuff.
