The books are very good.
The show is very good.
The problem is that you find people wanting the show to BE the books, which it's not. Most of the time the books are better.
For the most part, the show is extremely well cast. Charles Dance as Tywin Lannister is fucking amazing. Jack Gleeson as
Joffrey is so good that I can't believe he doesn't get his head beaten in every time he leaves his house.
Other things are not as well fleshed out as they are in the books, but that's the price you pay when you try to fit a seven hundred page
book into ten hours.
As far as I'm concerned, there's no hemming or hawing about it. Watch the show, you won't be disappointed.
I'll also reveal that I own a Greyjoy t-shirt, and I swear to the fucking Drowned God that sometimes when I wear it out in public I get worse
customer service than I would reasonably expect to get from certain people who I assume love the Starks. Fuck them and their wolves.
This happens semi-regularly, but I'm specifically talking about you, Ginger pharmacist at CVS.
