I remember your posts from 10 years ago FN. Unlike you, I sadly can't find the time to burn. Every few years, I rank up a lowbie to 15, perfect defenses and realize I just wasted 20 hours. I then promptly delete. I am doing this now, which is the only reason I am even aware of any of the "political turmoil" going about.

Gabe: At any rate why should you chose TheFaithfulOfNazmorghul? Because throughout lo these many years, he showed beyond shadow of doubt that he's just a cool, level-headed person. Will QHCF's Iron Throne corrupt him? I doubt it. We're too old for that shit.

FN, Your last post ( [www.qhcf.net] ) captured some of that innocence that we all felt in our youth, when we didn't worry about careers, underlings, politics, clients, bills... life. There was just bask of monitors, the inability to explain to outsiders why you and 90 other people inhabited ASCII world, the incredible times where you went for 12 hours straight and yes -- even that fine feeling of guilt at missed schoolwork :)

Every once in a while, my friends and I talk about this. We believe, in vain, that if we just all get together and play, we will recapture this feeling. We believe, in vain, that having tons of games in Steam will convince us to actually install them. We don't, of course. It's not about the game, it's about the fact that we always keep adult stuff in the back of our minds.

If you get this position FN, your free game time will suffer. I don't know you, but I worry about this. You don't deserve for this to happen to you. And yet, you have somehow found balance between family, professional job and gaming, so all I can wish you is the best of luck. You are one upstanding guy and well-suited to this job.
