Ok, I have been wondering for a few days now and am surprised there is no talk of it on these forums.... what's with the surge in Herald? Not only that... I have seen countless chars under level 10 that have been given not only last names but also titles....e.g. Olaf Stronghammer? the worl'd strongest man.... or something like that.
I know there were those echoes but further to that
I read contradicting info on this and the help file on STSF does not seem to point to intelligence as being a key factor.... of course... if you are to "learn all their flaws" it could be seen as being impacted by intelligence.. just like any other learning. Is there a definitive answer to this or is there considerable doubt about which races it is significantly more suited to...?

Simply put, I love CF, been playing on and off since the late 90s and want to continue wasting my life away in the same manner :)
However, since the last couple of years and for the foreseeable future I can only play late night / early mornings. I am lucky to see more than 5 players on for the 4-5 hours or so of my playtime. This means solo ranking, very very few pk opportunities, complete lac
Wanted some advice for a new rager that is in the works... giant race most likely. The scenario for this char's life will likely be a very short who list, no item when he logs on, empire as most common opponents. My play style is all out, bordering on suicidal. So with all that in mind, looking for spec/legacy suggestions. Thanks in advance.
Comparing Staff with Spear... is there a difference in the offense and or defense? i.e. if all else is the same, do either of them work better for hitting the opponent or parrying hits? Does weight affect it at all if there is no specific skill (e.g. trapping) being used?
Was trying to use the Mapper in CMUD but there are a lot of issues I am running into. Since CMUD saves them as files that can be exported/imported, anyone have some already made that they would be willing to share?
Thanks a bunch.
Quite a few threads on the affect of metal eq on a savage but still a clarification is needed.
(1) The bonus seems to be, based on the help file, on skills geared towards damage. So I would assume that is ambush, savage blow and serpent strike. Correct?
(2) Is the bonus to ambush stacked with an onslaught ambush? Or is it that the default ambush is onslaught but with a improved chance of suc
In addition to what has been said in other replies, dirt to avoid summon is not a viable tactic. Specially not for you. Getting summoned by a bard is not a bad thing. You get a chance to put them to sleep. Remember that as soon as you are summoned, you have more time than they do. So sing sleep is a good option. That's of course if you do not have a teleport/return potion or want to bring hi
My understanding is that for those skills where you can fail and learn, it helps. For those that only improve with use (e.g. parry) it hurts as you parry less often. My understanding is often completely wrong though :)
Shoulda coulda woulda..... the dispel should have signalled a retreat for me. But almost all of our fights have gone that way and I wanted to try and stick with it this time... was hoping for a few better strikes of deliverance... didn't even get one!
Will miss you as you were one who didn't need to be chased at all to get a fight and fought honorably.
Good luck with the next.
Question is best posed with an example...
I have:
#alias {bb} {bash %1}
#var target MyEnemy
What I want to do is to make the following alias:
#alias {/} {%1 @target}
So when I type "/ bb" it will send "bash MyEnemy" to the mud. Instead what it is sending is "bbMyEnemy". i.e. the / alias is not recognizing the space. Someone please tell me how to fix thi
So, was planning on rolling a drunk, I mean dwarf. Battle/Berserker. First spec going to be Mace or Axe. What I was looking for is advice on the second spec...
I was thinking flails first but have mostly ruled that out and shorlisted either polearm or spear/staff. Want some defense, specially against shifters. Axe/Spear seems like an uncommon spec from the PBF at least. Not sure why.

So... I have created a script which looks at affects and creates/toggles a variable for the spell/skill name from 0 to 1. Example:
You are affected by:
Skill: 'berserk' modified hit roll by XX for XX hours.
Will change @berserk to 1.
Similarly, I have set "You feel your pulse slow down." to set @berserk to 0.
Now, how to make the following work is what I cannot fi
Siqzaarai deleted due to RL reasons. Wont get time to play much at all for the next few months so better to make room for a new Commander who can actually show up :) Will write more when it comes up on official.
