Long time lurker on here. I check in from time to time to see how CF is doing and recently got the itch to play. Trying to get some of my old gang together to log in too. Recently rolled up a ranger and am enjoying the hell out of myself. I am bit more interested this time around in just finding quests, exploring, and actually trying to write a decent role, which is something I never had the pati
I'm sure this has been asked a hundred times before, but what stat is each weapon reliant on? I understand that swords and axes are strength, but is that the only stat they rely on? The same with staves and spears. I think they rely on dex, but what else? If someone has covered this before, post a link and I'll read it there.
I tried to roll up a character when I was downrange, and Sniper Hill was too atrocious to even attempt it. But yes, you should roll one up. The Fortress needs some love.
Are there are any FAQs out there for them, or a solid paladin in general? I can't find anything on the DIKU-WIki. If not, what about successful paladin logs?
I'm having a hell of a time finding creatures that can be tamed. Are any of the decent ones around hero range? Seems like for as much as I've explored, I'll find one that might work. I rank until it gets to be my rank or below and try it tame it and nope. Nothing. No echo. Am I missing something?
just wanted to thank most of the vets on here. I've been playing on and off for ten years and every time I decide to come back, the leaders and Imms seem enjoyable and patient to work with. That being said, What's an enjoyable solo explorer class that I could play on my own. Explorer ranger/goodie conjie/ or shifter? Something else I'm missing
I can't figure out the specifications of the guilds. I have asked IC and I can't figure out how to become Elite or how to call a vote for leadership. Also, are there perks for becoming a leader?
Definately appreciate the in depth look at all of them. Now I have a really good idea of what I want to do, and I did look at the DIKU-Wiki files before asking in case you were wondering. Much obliged, Scrimbul.
I haven't had a thief since it was revamped and I'm looking to start another. What are some good specs to start out on? Also, any tips for distribution of points?
Do the prior tier forms give you an idea of what top forms you will have later? And is this "Roll the Bones" something to be asked in character? If not, what is it?
I'm giving up CF for a year altogether and was hoping by then the number of huts in the village would be more like a village and not a fucking city. Has anyone else had this same problem? I'm a 31 conjurer fighting a 30 villager and with every prep I can think of and lose no matter what, and die in two to three rounds every time. Plus I've ran into three already who obviously use
Something for exploration, not great pk but something that can hold up, and decent support. But not something that's going to get me to ask tons of questions on the newbie channel every time I log on. I've been playing CF on and off since 03' so I'm not terribly unfamiliar with everything. However, I don't know things like location of quests and wand locations.
I have only played warrior classes succesful for as long as I can remember. I want to start a new mage but what kind? I'm thinkin goodie conjurer, but what is easy to get the hang of, good start to learn mage classes, and fun...and why?
If you are in town and you see a trib, but he doesn't have his title (which i'm assuming means he's not on duty), and you attack someone, can he go to his town, go on duty, and make you wanted?
