As I said it is one thing to get people to try the game, its a whole different thing to get any of them to stay. Fixing this system could bring back some of the grief stricken players that have left us, and actually get some of the new people that do try this game to stick it out.
I actually agree with this and I am all for taking out more grief in this game, I think looting is a good thing and it is one of the main traits that this game had that really got me hooked. If you didn't risk loosing anything but 1/3 of your con when you died, I wouldn't get that rush right before the big fight happens, or have my butt clench when the fight comes down to the wire. I ac
Fix the wand system, I'm sure a big % of us are tired of searching all the same places over and over for every new mage we make, and new players would like to atleast look like they stand a chance. There should just be a quest or something in your guild that would just give you the spell in your list, though I would suggest toning some of the dam redux down like taking out aura and only gett
Went through all sorts of hell to get to this hole/bone/chest in some hidden room in an area explore and all it did was pwk myself. Or find some really nice looking piece of gear and then I do an ID on it and while some of the stats are decent, its full of negative stats that counter to much of the rest of my set for it to be worth it. Every once in a great while I'll find some prep/gear I d
If they have barrier it is most likely they will have shield and aura too on top of all of the preps a warrior can get and the ability to dispel all of the warriors protections/utility spells like flight. This is another advantage to Battle that people neglect to mention, dispel magic does not work against resisitance nor does stoneshatter not sure if the aura and shield potions I know can be dis
Your pk SKILLS are just not that solid, not sure why you would brag so much. I fought you a couple times as bigri when you were jerrokrar arial sword/whip right? Seemed like you would just flee and quaff anytime I landed so much as a hamstring on you. Then you would just wait that out come back and try a murder/entwine again. If anything at all didn't go exactly as planned you would just fle
I don't mean there is absolute zero chance to win, I mean that makes you 3 times tougher than you are normally with only your classes skills/spells and takes the % chance you will win a fight if you were equally skilled as the other player through the roof.
Its not like in WOW or other rpgs where you go out and spend all that time for whatever edge you get for maxing your proffesions. Instead of an edge you get an I win button and if you don't go though this your a helpless wimpy kid that gets his lunch money stolen every day. The thing is the imms seem to think this is fun for people to do over and over, but even in this playerbase full of sel
You can play this game any way you want, if you actually attempt to rp you can especially do this. Most of the time you have to do something very extreme to get outright punished and get align change. A huge % of the people this happened to they actually wrote something in their role saying something about turning evil and then the imms did it. Other than these very extreme cases do any and every
The entire game is really only balanced around either being the top geared/top preppped/ top cabal powered mage or being an incredibly decked out rager. No normal mage with a little above avg gear and abs will have enough to get past a decked out rager with DB. No slightly above average geared rager can take on some decked out scion with that much hp from dispoil and abs and whatever other preps
Your saying that they are not op because while they may steamroll newbie/moderate players any skill/elite player will know ahead of time that even if they fully prepped and brought friends they would have 0% chance to land a kill on the invoker while the invoker has any number of ways they could land a kill on one or all of you. Therefore you might have to plan a little or be in a raid type situa
Its not the invoker class that is op, its the fact they get a/b/s on top of their own dam redux. Invulnerable to all elements + 50% dam redux + immune to your lag of choice/bash/trip. That should be more than enough considering their stupid area damage they do. For all the other mage classes they are week as shit without a/b/s but way op with it. Seems to be no middle ground really between being
Something that I've always wondered about, maybe someone can clarify for me the reasons behind this. Lets take the midnight dragon for example, this gear is pretty good until the mid thirties and then it quickly becomes sub-par. Then why is it only hero's can kill this beast when it is pretty useless for them? At hero this gear is not worth wearing compared to other even easier things t
I like to gear lowbies for the gear info and locations, I get them all sorts of gear if they will show me where and how to get it. I'll sometimes find chars that would use some of the gear that I want to know for current/next char. After I do this for a good while for many different chars I'll have a really good regear set for my current, then just be a murder all machine. Who cares if
Not only is your AC really really high from the abs and gear so that people miss a lot, I also seemed to parry way better and just take less hits all around. At 30 I could just vamp touch an arial assassin zerker down with aura shield and stoneskin. Even though it nerfed my healing I seemed to still beable to keep myself over 75% and get off a few other spells between the vamps and he was spellba
I'm a ten year vet, I am good at pk and I do have a big prep list. I didn't get all this for free it took me forever to gain this knowledge. But then it hit me, every strategy going through my head before a fight revolved around preps. All the questions going through my head are, Should I enlrage? is he going to enlarge? If I reduce and he enlarges I'll land that sleep for sure, bu
There are just so many things out of balance in this game I don't think it could ever be fixed nor do I think any of the vets want it to be. We here at CF rely on these imbalances to keep ourselves above the newbs. It is by design CF is unbalanced, that is why we have OP preps that are hidden from newbs that will totally win fights for you regardless of your actual skill as a player. In CF b
