#1 Aim at the transmuter immediately after the attack - you were not lagged and he did not look prepped beyond class abilities. You then could've disarmed/doublethrusted/etc. None of which would've been terrible moves. If you had gone for the disarm, chances are he may have face tanked your swords. #2 if you had attempted to aim, and were able to make him flee - you could'veby Nurok - Log Board
His STR/Damroll are what are making it hit that hard. There are shields that change damage type of shield jab as well. Specifically the shield in this log does a tiny bit of damage back when he is bashed.by Nurok - Log Board
It's a problem with the staff. Largely due to the fact that CF is not a true business making money. No for profit game-dev would think of completely removing functionality that people enjoy from a game without providing a venue to achieve the same results. It is truly unfortunate, but the staff is in a position to run CF like calvin ball and that is exactly what they do. You have 2 oby Nurok - Main Board

It's also a huge thing for conspiracy folks. Apparently the first diagnosed case of lyme disease was in Lyme Connecticut in the 1970's (hence the name of the disease). The conspiracy bit is that right next to Lyme, off the coast 2 miles is Plum Island. Plum island is a military base wherein during WW2 and the time following researchers were trying to weaponize insect borne illnessesby Nurok - Char Board
It's a blood-borne disease carried by ticks where I live. It causes flu like symptoms (fatigue/muscle ache in my case). And, it is generally treatable with a month of antibiotics (in my case, Doxycycline X3 per day for a month). It can become "chronic" were symptoms persist, but generally in folks older than I am. I haven't been able to play Rokhwar over the last 2 weeks due to having been diagnosed with Lyme disease. I originally thought I was over-tired from both moving my company and my home in June. I couldn't seem to shake feeling tired regardless of how much I slept, which eventually forced me to go to the doctor and have bloodwork done (I hate bloodwork). Anyways, I don't think Iby Nurok - Char Board

At level 15, get as much +AC gear as you can (rings from seaport, midnight dragon stuff if you can hire someone to gather etc) Otherwise, scavenge the ground around midnight dragon for the moonstone stuff (or buy it if role allows). Certain builds will always have the upper hand on others. Using class abilities/techniques to jump your opponent on your own terms is what CF is all about. The fact that Gromm did just that resulting in obvious success against a class people are bitching about is proof that monks are indeed not some unstoppable force with no vulnerability.by Nurok - Main Board
At both defense, AND at sealing kills. The auto-lag shield jab lands kills. Intensify, you can walk away from. And yeah, defiance. But, if you know what you are doing and can communicate well - it is a 2 man job. Nep said it can be done solo - and I do believe him. I just think you probably need to be a storm giant to do it solo. I think pulling it off as an elf would be very difficult.by Nurok - Main Board

Orc chief is awesome vs monks. I think their tankiness depends upon their mana, and the horde chews it up pretty quick (even if the horde is dying, all those little mobs trigger avoid or whatever it is). You can out-heal their BS with blood (at least I did with Mundunugu) and then return to romp them. With Varaez, I had trouble with a monk in my mid-game. Both Verathi and Ysal told me this. As Varaez I'd jump on a paladin coming at me without batting an eyelash (this is of course, after they had come after me multiple times). There is a fine line, and that is I didn't go LOOKING for them. For example, if they are on eastern and I am on eastern = pincer.
