Were you actually "Mek the heroimm"?
I don't know how many time I have to tell you people...but I don't know your forum handles. I'm sorry. All you people that I hurt your feelings...I'm probably guilty, but if you want more information you're going to have to give me a LOT more context*. This is especially true about heroimms**, and especially, especially tr
I think you make a lot of good points about how to fix some of the issues. Very constructive, very thought out and I think they would help.
Thanks...it's *almost* like I have been wrestling with it for months and have had these debates with people before in an attempt to enact change, huh. Or, maybe it's bc Twist PKed my mortal. *eyeroll*
Isn't that exactly what you are doin
With all that said, in your perfect world how would you fix these problems?
1. Instead of making "I can see IP addresses everywhere" privledges based on imm rank, make it a "packet" of power. Remove it from the people who are abusing the situation. Give it to a few "security officer imms" this packet of powers so they can track when there is a problem. There are
There's only one way you get copy/pastes of immortal histories like that.
I'm further perturbed you were only given part of the comments. But, I guess if you're willing to break the immortal rule that is "don't show mortals active character histories" you've got no problem with "throw another immortal under the bus by only showing HALF of the relevant co
But that's...not it. That's not the comment where you were called an ASSHOLE and left BEFORE you logged off the session BEFORE I found you. That was placed in there by a different immortal...and it wouldn't have been informative to me to know why the hell you were left in the realm of the dead.
But, what it is a direct copy/paste from an immortal history...and I didn't g
Me...sitting in my own immortal room, doing spooky beetle things....
AUTOMATED ALERT: A MORTAL HAS LOGGED IN AND IS IN THE REALM OF THE DEAD...SOMEONE SHOULD DEAL WITH THIS
Me...oh good, the person(s) (not me) who put the character IN the realm of the dead (and noted that their CHARACTER was a plagairizing ASSHOLE - not my words and I have no knowledge about the situation except the single no
I bet if you just asked me one more time I’d paste the super secret imm message where someone called you a plagiarizing asshole (in all caps, no less)! Because, seriously...it is totally relevant to this conversation thread. If only you'd been more clear to me about what you wanted...
YOU ASKING IN GAME:
An Immortal says 'Also, it says here you were an asshole in the descript
>>> Even if this was not Cyradias character (I assume Twist had killed her earlier)
Nope! Twist didn't kill me until 6 days after the history - and that was the first time any of my mortals had any contact with Mochy. I have zero complaints about Mochy killing my mortal...we were opposite alignments and enemies. I was in an area explore that I thought was hard to access after ra
I really enjoyed the game. The game is not what the game used to be, and I spent months trying to tease that out into why. A lot of the reoccuring arguments are "The imms should cheat/get an advantage, they work hard!!" and "it should be player-centric...don't be an asshole!"
I fundamentally disagree. I want a mud where everytime you roll a new character - you get a
This is an example of what (can) scroll by if you're an immortal, every minute. The XXX in the addresses were added by me in this post, to protect those still active characters. Now, there are commands you can enter to very quickly check full IP histories, compare histories from one char to another to find matches, and something that just outputs every character played from a site. Those - I
So, when you pray, the room number you're in is displayed in the pray logs. In fact, I can't think of a way NOT to see the room number along with the prayer, from the imm-side of life. I don't remember my childhood phone number. I have no idea what my grandmother's first name is despite being told three times in the last three years. Sometimes I'm not sure what day of the
Did you guys know this forum had private messages?!
So I didn’t until last night! Thanks to everybody that sent me a message. The kind words of appreciation and the forum posts really meant a lot to me. Seeing so many of the old guard come out of the woodwork to defend me (even though a deleted imm really doesn’t need defending any more) made me smile and want to call up my college buddies.
Twist made a single post locked thread on the officials to respond to me. I don't know if it started out locked, but the state I found it sure as hell isn't a dialog or a gesture I want to embrace. I don't think you need more validation than that.
I have no idea who Balta was/is other than a vague 'outlander' note in my head. I've been playing for 15 years and did
If it makes you feel any better, I really, really, really, really don't like you...so you can keep hating me. It'll make the karma balanced.
One of the disappointing things, to me, was that I was lumped together with other immortals on your RIDICULOUS post. I'm mean. I'm blunt. I'm good at math (you sexist jackass). I'm not perfect...but I'm not biased when
I went to confirm on my official post, but they deleted the confirmation. Hopefully someone saw it, but Raybaer is wicked fast with her forum deletions.
This is what I had typed out that I posted in response to Daevryn:
I make me sad, too. I really believed in CF and that's why I tried to work inside it as long as I did. I'm sorry the imps I went to with my concerns didn't ha
Some reasons that I quit I can’t share with you, as they refer to things I learned behind the scenes that I feel would be betraying Zulg’s confidence (who I heart – and you should too) to share. I had intended to leave without writing this, but since Twist decided to take the credit for my deletion (which I think is a talented PR move on his part trying to dismiss it as an emotional decisio
I understand that, logically, you can justify gangbanging as a group of goods. Ends justify the means and all. However, when did team fortress become SO heavily steeped in the ganging mentality? You already have insane numbers...is it really necessary to run around and hunt the solo evil in a group of three?
I need a little memory prompting. Can you please give me the names of some successful giant warriors with sword spec that I can search logs on? I have Maravon.
If you have thoughts on a second spec or legacy combo, let's hear them. Haven't decided on a cabal yet.
Thanks.
I feel like when you register for it, you get access to practice tests and study material. All you really need is to spend a bit of time with the format. I don't remember the details, but I remember the verbal had some weird "fill in the blank to improve the grammar". Flipping through some practice examples allowed me to quickly pick out the patterns they were gunning for and made
Your "roleplay logs" are to roleplay like a dry crisply leaf is to a 100 acre forest. That is to say, they're mislabled and not even in the same ballpark.
I'm currently using PUEBLO (but am not totally opposed to upgrading to Cmud).
Is there a way to write a script that pauses X seconds before executing the next command?
I'd like to have a script that does some commands, and then I sleep for X seconds, before waking and doing another command.
I've never played CF for a long time, but never an invoker. I feel there are probably a million fairly well known tricks (which order to practice things in, where to practice things to get fast gains, etc.) Am I missing any obvious resources to get up to speed on this class or does anybody have any general tips to get me started?
I admit, I never ever suffer from lag, so I have a very low tolerance of it. I have highspeed cable and my connection to CF has always been right at flawless. However, the last two days have been KILLING me (both in game and personal frustration.) I keep getting hit by waves of it. Nothing, nothing, nothing...then bam...stare at a frozen screen for 30 seconds. Anybody else?
