Hated it. Professionally managed can run credit checks and screen renters a little better. If you're by yourself and are just taking a crap-shoot renter, it can get really ugly, really fast. That said, I'm in a state where the laws are insanely in the favor of the renter, and you get professional deadbeats that know the laws very well. In my state, playing by the rules could very easily
I agree on devious versatility...what that actually is, is edge points translated into additional class skills. That's no longer an edge...that's new skills. I think it should be removed and thief points should just be thief points, period.
Just an added layer of BS that it needs imm exp, too.
she was playing one of the Fort morts that your "Kill outer strategy" screwed with last night...and then waited until she was immland at work to ruin your character for it later.
I never said this...the false dichotomy seems to have been stated by people who don't like learning about the game OOC. Learning about the game OOC doesn't mean someone doesn't enjoy RP, too.
After taking a really long break, I came back for a bit. I played three characters before I lost interest. Those were:
Ilda-something....an uncaballed shapeshifter to re-familiarize mys
I don't disagree...there's a stupid amount of grind built into the game. It's not why I quit, exactly...but it didn't help.
(The remainder of this post isn't aimed at you, specifically, Dur.)
My point is that being competitive at PK is (1) not somehow wrong and (2) a very large portion of the game. In order to be competitive at this you need (a) game knowledge about
I'm really glad you and Matrik enjoy playing the game like you do. It gives the rest of us someone to kill and then RP with...a complete package. I want to be the guy WINNING the PK and then RPing...not the guy gathering up his shit off the floor of Eastern Road twice a session and then trying to RP some. Most newbies don't want to be that guy, either...so shortening the learning curve

The ones against information sharing tend not to be actually good at the game.
I also noticed this trend, and I think it's a very interesting and bizarre one.
I used to only read the "cheater" sites/magazines when I got stuck or when I wanted to "revitalize" an old game I thought I'd finished with. I haven't played an online game in awhile, but I'm pretty sure the last few I played some, then read some of the walk-through notes that were interesting to what I wanted to know, and then played the rest on my own.
My p
I had no idea you were getting SO much joy out of walking the academy by hand each character. You're like the little goldfish that keeps re-discovering the same plastic castle. How cute!
You're absolutely right...we don't (didn't) enjoy the same components of the game. However, I'm not telling you your way is wrong. I'm not trying to force anybody into using the &
Someone posted a bunch of imm-only helpfiles there. It specifically explained how the key word thing detected, but I had already engineered my scripts correctly. So that's hardly news. Like you said a few posts up, we're not hitting random keywords. I'm just pasting in the exact key words so I can do newibe repeated shit really efficiently. There isn't any code to check this,
Why would I break it up into smaller chunks? The point/end goal is to get my rank 1 char fully equipped with fine leather gear as quickly and easily as possible. Gathering/exploring the academy (for the 1,2034th time) wasn't fun. Smaller chunks = more copy/paste = less efficient.
Ditto on all the other scripts I (and other contributors) posted. You can run through newbie areas and get 10k
...but what Tesline was referring to are the explore scripts on the specialized forum on FSV. For example, you can 'copy/paste' in all the commands that walk you through the academy and pick-up all the fine leather shit, while looking at the mobs and objects to farm the bit of observation exp available. I had it broken down into about four copy/pastes so you could practice at the guildm

Don't just throw flames and whiny rants and expect everyone to understand what the hell you're trying to say.
I systematically took his points and responded to them very logically. As did he. In fact, he and I are having an unemotional and logical debate. You're the little kid giggling to himself using a bad word and insulting me.
I don't want anything behind
I'll concede that there's a chance you might not get as many requests to help. I was looking at it from the other side of the equation...askers would still get answered, if they chose to do it IC. You're probably right that answerers might not ever get asked. So, point to you for a viable and logical argument against OOC sharing.
I've had a mixed experience with Twist and I

I've yet to see anyone address the RP impact of what OOC info sharing does with any really good points.
I've yet to see anyone address facts that have been stated, like Daev and Scar that have said publicly they wouldn't bother adding to the game as much knowing it would all be circulated OOC.
I've yet to see anyone address that sharing things on a forum does in
So, if I use a semi-colon it's botting?

Typing 'e' is different than pasting e?
I would think a "line" for botting is if you program a client to react for you (e.g., you're disarmed and automatically pick-up your weapon...that's a response that you no longer have to manage/decide/react). An "e

There's a difference between
1) creating clarity in helpfiles so that you know stats/skills related & knowing that you earn edge points for PKS at certain marks
and
2) posting how legacy X works mechanically, knowing what % leads to what % in this skill, what steps are to complete quest Y, how to maximize skill Z, where every wand might be.
I honestly can't
Spiteful jerks. That was one of my two options covered above. I'm so glad we've found agreement on this matter.
If it's not "broken" to do the quest, then why does it matter to them (or to anybody who wants to do it IC only) for some people to find out OOC?
If it's not "broken" to have A/B/S, then why does it matter to them (or anybody who wants to do
...and WTF is wrong with the large chunk of the population (both on the officials and on FSV) that have thanked him for it?
I think "your way" (which sounds very PVE) is a perfectly valid way to play CF. You probably don't want any spoilers. However, there seem to be a LOT of the population (a fair number of the immortals, included) that seem to enjoy the game a lot more when
The counter-argument to that is that the immortals are spiteful and just took it out to punish a few.
So either they were spiteful jerks or they had a broken or poorly designed "secret" in the game. *shrug*
So, what probably equates to < 3% of everything posted there (i.e., one quest) gets changed? I'll trade that every day of the week for an immortal attitude shift towards transparency (which was Physics' well stated point).
I'm not aware of anything else being changed because of that forum. Nep always changed shit when mortals found out about it, so you can't really blame
Twitchy would be an interesting example. Sure, it's still "for sale" for badasses to buy with edge points (I loved it), but maybe it's automatically added to your char on your 75th PK death or something.
Furthermore, I'm sure the huge decline in playerbase is because of me. The forums and game aren't related at all, either.
I mean, you know who sure as fuck doesn't bear ANY responsibility for the problem? That immortal staff. Love those guys! Can do no wrong!!
Also, you should totally pick fights with the disgruntled vets. I mean, when comparing us to that huge group of new g
