FWIW, I have two Asus VH226 21.5" monitors, and they've been nothing but awesome for the year I've had them. They both get quite a bit of use. If I could fit that 24" on my desk, I would. On second thought, I think I might need a bigger desk.
Do you mean late 19th century? I think I know what you mean by "cinematic" and I agree. I don't particularly like certain things like late Brahms, or Reger. These huge whiny Romantic orchestras don't do it for me. It's like they discovered valves and suddenly they had to be annoying. I do happen to like (much) Tchaikovsky, though.
They both had a bit of wit in them. See, for example, the Quodlibet from Bach's Goldberg Variations, or Mozart's Marche funèbre del Signor Maestro Contrapunto. The differences between Bach's and Mozart's compositional style has everything to do with the periods during which they composed. Neither of them where innovators; they both perfected the style of those who came before
You can set match-hidden-files to off in your .batchrc to ignore all hidden objects:
bind 'set match-hidden-files off'
If you just want to hide .svn directories, you can set $FIGNORE to .svn:
export FIGNORE=.svn
It can be a virus, but it's probably not. Which STOP code is it? 0x7A? It would help if we had that information, and the four parameters after it (e.g.: STOP 0x0000007A (0x00000060, 0x0000007c, 0x000000b1, 0x0842a04a)). Also, if it mentions a particular driver (like atapi.sys, or win32k.sys), it would help.
Here are some suggestions:
1) Backup your data. You should be able to find it in
In an infinite universe, there is a 100% chance of ET life. In a finite universe, there is a < 100% chance of ET life. Given my other reasons, I'd say there is a good possibility that there aren't ET beings in a finite universe. Even if the odds are, say, 60/40, or even 70/30, it's a decent chance for both, given the size of the universe.
While I (mostly) agree with you, the one assumption that I most disagree with is that aliens can contact us at all (and the opposite, that we can contact them).
First, if it is true that the universe is finite, that means that there is a good possibility that there are no ET beings, even if the universe is inconceivably large. Finding the right conditions to start life is no easy task - we (o
IQ as a measurement of intelligence is only good for measuring what we want to measure. If the mean IQ has increased, that means that either the current or past IQ tests are (were) irrelevant. The mean IQ of the population is static; it is the tests that change.
That said, human brains have certainly changed, and we probably have a better capacity for (what we now consider) intellectual pursui
If the list was unordered, I'd (mostly) agree with it, but there are some serious omissions, like Satriani and JJ Cale. Townshend, while certainly innovative, wasn't (isn't) a very good guitarist and probably doesn't deserve the 50 spot, and Richard Thompson certainly deserves higher.
You can still view previous revisions for the time being by clicking on the link at the bottom of the pages.
And if anyone has the time, you can contact his ISP and complain. Maybe if enough people do, they'll boot him. ;)
I agree you shouldn't talk trash or do stupid things if you have a bad link, but I can certainly sympathize. My link drops for about 2-3 minutes every hour or so due to a bad modem. But I'm moving in 2 weeks and getting a whole new setup, so it's not worth the cost to have them replace it.
That said, I've died hard twice this week because of it but I really can't compl
#KEY NUM8 {Your command goes here}
So, you could have:
#KEY NUM8 {north}
#KEY NUM4 {west}
#KEY NUM6 {east}
#KEY NUM2 {south}
#KEY NUM5 {up}
#KEY NUM0 {down}
You can do key combinations, too:
#KEY CTRL-NUM4 {open w; w}
In zmud, the semicolon separates commands, so you can chain as many as you want:
#KEY ALT-NUM4 {unlock w; open w; w}
Note: These don't have to be directions
Sure, it's possible. I would be more concerned about your neighbors' habits than what malware they may have on their machine, though. Pretty much every ISP has bandwidth limits, and sharing with a neighbor could push you over. Also, if they do anything illegal, it's your account - not theirs.
Then there's the fact that you gave them your wireless password. Who's to sa
